1. Madeline Kingsbury’s body was found in Fillmore County Wednesday, authorities confirmed. The Winona woman was reported missing more than two months ago. Her ex-boyfriend and the father of her children was arrested the same day, but charges have not been confirmed by investigators. (BMTN)

2. An “emotional” public hearing was held earlier this week in Minneapolis to address the crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous People. Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan said Tuesday there “isn’t a single solution to this problem, but there is an urgent and critical need for all of us to work together in whatever area we have as our expertise.” (Native News Online)

3. “Take a Kid Fishing Weekend” runs today through Sunday. State residents can fish without licenses if accompanied by fishing enthusiasts under the age of 15. (MNDNR)

4. Schulze Lake will reopen today after more than 60 swimmers were sickened last week. The Eagan lake closed June 2 due to the possible Norovirus outbreak. (CBS)
