Man Killed In Broad Daylight Shooting Outside Minneapolis Gas Station
Words were exchanged and the second man pulled out a firearm, according to investigators.

MINNEAPOLIS —A 23-year-old man died after being shot outside of a gas station just before noon on Monday in North Minneapolis.
At 11:47 a.m., Fourth Precinct officers responded to the 1800 block of Lowry Avenue North to reports of a shooting. Police found a man with life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was transported to North Memorial Medical Center, where he died.
The man was outside when he was approached by another man, police said. Words were exchanged and the second man pulled out a firearm, according to investigators. After firing shots, he ran from the scene.

"This senseless act of gun violence in broad daylight is unacceptable and shocking," Chief Brian O’Hara said. "I have full confidence in our investigators to solve this case and find some sense of justice for this victim and his loved ones. We need anyone who knows what happened or has any information about this incident to contact us immediately."
Officers secured the scene and conducted a canvass of the area. Minneapolis Forensic Scientists processed the scene.

Investigators are actively working to determine the circumstances of the incident.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the deceased's identity, along with the cause and manner of death.
