1. State lawmakers closed the legislative session Monday with the passage of health and infrastructure bills, according to the Reformer. Plans include implementing a $6.2 billion two-year health and human services budget. (Reformer)

2. Minneapolis City Council President Andrea Jenkins lost the DFL party endorsement over the weekend, MinnPost reports. “I will continue to fight for equity, dignity and respect for the people of ward 8 and be your champion and voice for a better Minneapolis,” tweeted Jenkins, who was the first Black transgender woman to win public office in the U.S. (MinnPost)

3. Kickoff to Summer at the Fair returns tomorrow at the State Fairgrounds. Live music, merchants, food and drink vendors will be on site. The weekend event runs through Sunday. (MN State Fair)
