Here are the top three stories in Minneapolis today:

  1. A new campaign is leveraging real Minneapolis experiences to encourage people to visit downtown. Several local businesses are behind the "Minneapolis Momentum" campaign, which had its first billboard go live yesterday morning. For more information or to share your story for a chance to be featured, click here. (CBS Minnesota)
  2. The state trial of two Minneapolis police officers charged in connection with George Floyd's death has been delayed until January. Former officers Tou Thao and J. Alexander Kueng, who were originally scheduled to go to trial next week, have also been charged with federal civil rights convictions. (MinnPost)
  3. The University of Minnesota library recently acquired a rare, hand-drawn 17th-century map of the Java Sea. The map, which came from Europe and cost at least half a million dollars, is considered a "bound fragment of time." While the artifact will be stored in a protective box (rather than on display at the library), researchers and the public will be able to take it out for study. (KARE11.com)
