More than 47,400 Minnesotans have tested positive for COVID-19 and 1,548 have died, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.

The department said that a data management system issue affected COVID-19 case counts for Monday and Tuesday. More than 900 new cases were reported Monday — which would have been the state’s highest daily total — but it is more accurate to put the case counts at about 636 each day for Monday and Tuesday, according to MDH.
