MN Special Election: Senate District 60 Candidates
The outcome of the special election will determine which party holds the majority and controls the chamber for the next two years.
MINNEAPOLIS — Following the death of Minnesota Democratic state Sen. Kari Dziedzic in December, Gov. Tim Walz announced a special election to fill the Senate District 60 seat, which represents northeastern Minneapolis in Hennepin County.
The Minnesota State Senate is currently deadlocked in a 33-33 tie between Republicans and Democrats. The outcome of the special election will determine which party holds the majority and controls the chamber for the next two years.
