CASS COUNTY, MN — A Remer, Minnesota teen was under the influence of alcohol when he was ejected and died in a single-car crash early Sunday morning, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

The driver, identified as 17-year-old Ronald James Day, was also not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash, according to investigators.

The teen was driving a 2003 Buick Century westbound on Highway 200 at about 1 a.m., authorities said. The driver failed to negotiate a curve, drove off the road, struck the road approach and went airborne, according to investigators.
The car landed sideways and began rolling, and the drive was ejected, authorities said.
