MN Timberwolves 'No Longer For Sale' After A-Rod Deal Falls Through
In a surprising twist, Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez will not become controlling owners of the Minnesota Timberwolves after all.

MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Timberwolves are no longer for sale after Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez failed to close the deal, owner Glen Taylor announced Thursday morning.
Taylor, 82, confirmed the option's expiration that Lore and Rodriguez had to acquire controlling interest in the Timberwolves and Lynx.
Under the terms of the purchase agreement, the closing needed to happen within 90 days following the exercise notice issued by Lore and Rodriguez. That 90-day period expired on March 27.

Lore and Rodriguez were not entitled to a limited extension, according to Taylor.
"I will continue to work with Marc, Alex and the rest of the ownership group to ensure our teams have the necessary resources to compete at the highest levels on and off the court," said Taylor.
