TWIN CITIES, MN — Snow is finally making its return to the Twin Cities and much of central Minnesota, according to the National Weather Service. Light snow is expected from late Thursday morning through early Friday.

In the metro, snowfall will likely amount to a bit more than a dusting, with a slight chance of reaching 1 inch.

Areas farther north, however, have a better shot at seeing an inch or more.

Thursday: Snow likely, mainly after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 29. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
