Quick Snowstorm To Hit Twin Cities On Thursday: MN Weather

TWIN CITIES, MN — Snow is finally making its return to the Twin Cities and much of central Minnesota, according to the National Weather Service. Light snow is expected from late Thursday morning through early Friday.

In the metro, snowfall will likely amount to a bit more than a dusting, with a slight chance of reaching 1 inch.

Areas farther north, however, have a better shot at seeing an inch or more.

Thursday: Snow likely, mainly after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 29. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Thursday Night: A 50 percent chance of snow before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 18. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Friday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 25. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 11. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 23. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming north northeast in the afternoon.

Saturday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a steady temperature around 19. Northeast wind around 5 mph.
