MINNEAPOLIS — The Armory in Minneapolis will host A Day To Remember for "The Degenerates Tour" this October. Tickets are now on sale to see the band with I Prevail and Beartooth for an exciting performance Oct. 27.

Often called ADTR for short, A Day To Remember has been playing together since 2003. The American rock band hails from Ocala, Florida, where guitarist Tom Denney and Bobby Scruggs formed the group, known for their unique combination of metalcore and pop punk. Denney and Scruggs are no longer part of ADTR, but their fellow original members Jeremy McKinnon on lead vocals and bassist Joshua Woddard carry the torch. For the current tour, they are joined by Neil Westfall on rhythm guitar, Alex Shelnutt (who replaced Scruggs in 2006) on drums and Kevin Skaff on lead guitar.

The band's debut album, "And Their Name Was Treason" sold more than 10,000 copies. The group was soon signed by Victory Records and went on to release "For Those Who Have Heart" in 2007, peaking at 17 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart. A Day To Remember went on to release three more records with the label before launching a lawsuit against Victory in 2011, claiming they were owed royalties.

Thankfully for fans, a 2013 decision allowed the band to self-release new albums until a decision is reached. The group has since released "Common Courtesy" and "Bad Vibrations" which included singles "Violence (Enough is Enough)" and "Paranoia."

This long tenure of music will be on display in Minneapolis, along with the group's 2019 collaboration track with EDM producer Marshmello, titled "Rescue Me." The show comes as part of the band's The Degenerates Tour, which runs from Oct. 15 to Nov. 23. ADTR will be joined by rockers I Prevail and hardcore punk band, Beartooth.
