Snowfall Estimates Lowered, But Winter Storm On Track: MN Weather
Here's when the weekend's winter storm will hit the Twin Cities metro area.

TWIN CITIES, MN — A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from Friday midnight through 6 p.m. Saturday for Chisago County in Minnesota and Polk, Barron, Rusk, St. Croix, Dunn, Chippewa, and Eau Claire counties in Wisconsin as a winter storm moves through the region.
Snow will begin Friday night in western Minnesota and spread eastward into Wisconsin overnight, continuing through Saturday morning before gradually tapering off in the afternoon.


Total snow accumulations of 4 to 6 inches are expected, with some isolated higher amounts possible.

The National Weather Service warns that slippery road conditions will likely make travel hazardous, especially on untreated roads. Reduced visibility at times may further impact driving conditions.

Saturday: Snow, mainly before 11am. High near 23. East wind 5 to 15 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 2. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 17. West southwest wind around 5 mph.
