Expect a windy and rainy day across southwest Wisconsin on Thursday.

MILWAUKEE — Expect a windy and rainy day across southwest Wisconsin Thursday.

"A broken line of showers along a fast moving cold front this morning may produce wind gusts to 50 mph, but still be followed by a very windy day and evening for southern WI," the National Weather Service said.

"A Wind Advisory is in effect for SE WI for westerly wind gusts of 45 to 50 mph. It will also feel much colder during this time, with wind chills in the 30s by late this afternoon or evening."

Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11am, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 11am and noon. Mostly cloudy, with a temperature rising to near 65 by 10am, then falling to around 52 during the remainder of the day. Windy, with a south wind 10 to 20 mph becoming southwest 20 to 30 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 35. Windy, with a northwest wind 20 to 25 mph decreasing to 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 50. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable.
