Target Announces 2024 Thanksgiving, Black Friday Hours

MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis-based retail giant Target announced its store hours for Black Friday week and the rest of the holiday season.

Target stores will be open regular hours on Wednesday, Nov. 27. For the fifth year in a row, Target stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

On Black Friday, Nov. 29, doors open early at 6 a.m.

"Target is the place to be on Black Friday — and all season long — with incredible deals on thousands of items across every category and exclusive in-store items you'll want to pick up for everyone on your gift list this year," said Mark Schindele, chief stores officer at Target.

"With extended store hours, convenient same-day pickup and delivery options and around-the-clock online availability, you can choose when, where and how to shop, and our fantastic team will be there to deliver."

Target is rolling out its full slate of Black Friday deals from Nov. 24-30, promising expanded offers and weekend deals.

The retailer is promoting its order fulfillment options — including Drive Up, Order Pickup, and same-day delivery — as part of its efforts to make the holiday shopping experience as streamlined as possible.

Extended holiday shopping hours

Target is extending its holiday shopping hours this season, keeping stores open from 7 a.m. to midnight from Nov. 30 through Dec. 23 to accommodate shoppers during the busiest times of the year.

Customers can also take advantage of Black Friday deals and holiday sales around the clock through Target’s website and app.

New Taylor Swift merch

Target's Black Friday offerings will include a pair of exclusive releases that are likely to drive fans into stores.

On Friday, Nov. 29, the retailer will launch Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour Book, a 256-page hardcover collection packed with more than 500 photos and personal reflections from the pop star herself. Swift fans will also find The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology available on vinyl and CD, another exclusive item likely aimed at the holiday rush.

Both the book and the album will be available in-store on Black Friday with a limit of four per guest.

For fans preferring to shop online, the items will also be available on the Target app and website starting early Saturday, Nov. 30, while supplies last.
