Temperatures Are About To 'Fall' Fast: MN Weather

Summer weather, with daily highs in the 80s, is finally coming to an end. Expect highs going forward to be in the 60s and 50s.

TWIN CITIES, MN— Starting this weekend, temperatures in Minnesota will finally drop into a range more typical for October.

Daily highs in the 80s are ending. Expect highs going forward to be in the 60s and 50s.

"A couple more days of summer-like warmth before temperatures "fall" to more normal values for this time of year," the National Weather Service said. "We'll also see our first chance of rain in a while this weekend, mainly for locations north of I-94."

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. South wind around 10 mph.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 72. West wind 10 to 15 mph becoming north in the afternoon.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 46. North wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers after 1pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 65. East wind around 5 mph becoming south in the afternoon.

Saturday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 1am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 44. South southeast wind 5 to 15 mph becoming northwest after midnight.
