Minnesota Mystery Night to Feature Alan Miller's Latest Book in Nov.

Minnesota Mystery Night's first event at its new venue, Lucky's 13 Pub, takes place the evening of Nov. 18.

Minnesota Mystery Night, a monthly gathering of mystery writers and readers, has a new home in Mendota. Lucky’s 13 Pub, located at 1352 Sibley Memorial Highway, is the new host of the event that began two years ago at the now closed Axel’s Restaurant.

The first event at the new venue takes place the evening of Nov. 18 and will feature internationally acclaimed author, Michael Faricy, in conversation with local TV talk show host and author, Alan Miller, who is releasing his latest title at the event.

"Fire Fight in Shelter Rock" is the the third book in his Dani and Mort detective series.

The event begins at 7 p.m. Reservations can be made at www.mnmysterynight.com. There is a $13 cover charge, which includes a $5 book discount certificate that can be used the night of the event or at any future Minnesota Mystery Night.

In addition to his work as a writer, Miller is the host of two cable TV shows, "The Writer’s Corner" and "Access to Democracy." He resides in Minnesota with his wife, Sharon, and a springer spaniel rescue who is a character in this latest book.
