Minnetonka High School Student Stabbed With 'Art Tool'

A Minnetonka High School student was hospitalized after another student attacked them, district officials said.

MINNETONKA, MN — A Minnetonka High School student was stabbed by another student with an "art tool" on Tuesday, district officials said in an email to parents.

"As you may know, yesterday at Minnetonka High School we had an altercation in a classroom between two students that resulted in an injury to one of the students," wrote David Law, Minnetonka Public Schools Superintendent.

"The student was injured with an art tool that the other student held in their hand."

No other student was involved in the "isolated incident."

Law noted that there is an active investigation into the incident, but student privacy laws mean few other details can be publicized.
