MN Driver Hits 2 Cars, Crashes Into Building During Road Test
Thankfully, the desk that would have been directly behind the crash site was empty, as the employee had the day off.

CHASKA, MN — A routine road test at the Chaska License Center took a surprising detour Wednesday, as a student driver, in an unfortunate mix-up, confused the gas pedal for the brake while parking.
What followed was a chain of events that ended with the vehicle striking two parked cars before crashing into the building itself.
No one was injured in the mishap, but the driver’s test came to a screeching halt.

At around noon, officers, the Chaska Fire Department, and Ridgeview Ambulance responded to the scene, where the only injury was the driver's confidence.
The unfortunate blunder was particularly lucky for one employee: the desk that would have been directly behind the crash site was empty, as the employee had the day off.

While the driver's parking skills will need some work, it’s a reminder that driving requires care and attention at all times, whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first-time road tester, authorities said.
"Vehicles are powerful machines that come with significant responsibility, and we ask that every driver, whether seasoned or still learning, gives driving the diligence and respect it deserves," the Chaska Police Department said in a statement.
As for the driver, they'll have to wait for another opportunity to pass their test.
