Wayzata Restaurant Investigates Claim Staff Celebrated Charlie Kirk Killing
The restaurant said it is reviewing footage and interviewing staff after allegations surfaced online.
WAYZATA, MN — The owners of CōV, a restaurant in downtown Wayzata, say they are investigating allegations that some employees celebrated Wednesday's assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk while on the job.
Management said they became aware of a claim that staff at the restaurant reacted inappropriately to news of Kirk’s death.
"CōV will never stand for hate or violence of any kind towards anyone, especially such a heinous, cowardly act as was carried out against Charlie Kirk," the statement read.

Meanwhile, law enforcement officials said Thursday that the suspect in the fatal shooting of Kirk, who remains at large, "appears to be of college age."
The FBI’s Salt Lake City office released two photos of a person of interest in the case, asking for the public’s help in identifying the man. The agency also announced a $100,000 reward for information leading to the shooter’s identification.
Kirk, 31, co-founder of Turning Point USA, was shot and killed on Wednesday during an event at Utah Valley University.
CōV’s statement closed with condolences: "God Bless Charlie Kirk, his wife and kids, and all who loved him during this terrible time, our prayers and deepest sympathies are with them."
