
Dorothy Albers, age 94, of Dundas, passed away Monday, October 22, 2012 at the Northfield Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 27 at 10:30 a.m., at the Church of St. Dominic in Northfield, with Father Denny Dempsey officiating. Interment will be in Rolling Green Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7p.m. Friday at St. Dominic’s Church. It will continue at the church on Saturday one hour prior to the funeral.
Dorothy Catherine Albers was born March 27, 1918 in Northfield to Edward and Catherine (Crosby) Lynch. She was baptized and confirmed at Annunciation Catholic Church, Hazelwood. She graduated from Rosary School in 1934 and Faribault Teachers School the following year. She taught grades 1-8 at the Union Lake Country School House. On November 22, 1938, she married Harold Fredrick Albers and moved to the family farm in Dundas where she resided for the next 70 years. Upon retiring, Harold and Dorothy spent many happy years at their winter home in Edgewater, Florida. January 2009, Dorothy moved into Cottage East, at Three Links Care Center.

Survivors include her seven children: Henry (Cheri) of Northfield, Paul (Donna) of Faribault, Gene (Charlene) of Dundas, Mary (Bernard) Auge of Northfield, Greg of Dundas and friend Ruth Dahl, Margaret (Casey) Christian of Owatonna and Anne (Tom) Brumagim of Frankfurt Germany; 21 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Eunice Lynch of Northfield; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Albers, her parents and brother Donald Lynch.
Funeral arrangements are with the Bierman Funeral Home in Northfield.
