Daryl Budenski Still Missing After Nearly 4 Months

Investigative Sergeant Cordova said there haven't been any new developments in the case.

NORTHFIELD, MN β€” February will mark four months since the last time Northfield man Daryl Budenski was last seen in October.

Since Patch's last report, Sergeant Kevin Tussing said he rotated back from Investigative Sergeant to Patrol Sergeant. Jesse Cordova told Patch that he is now the current Investigative Sergeant for Northfield Police Department.

Cordova said Thursday that there haven't been any new developments in Budenski's case and that the police department is requesting the public's help in locating him.

On Oct. 6, police found a wallet and hat in a ditch on the east side of Division Street between a traffic circle and a cemetery, Tussing told Patch in an earlier interview. The wallet was a money clip with credit cards and business cards but no cash. Budenski was seen wearing the hat in video surveillance from a Wells Fargo bank on Sept. 28, Tussing said.

The City of Northfield shared an update on the case this week, saying that the police department is continuing to follow leads, but that so far, none of the tips have resulted in finding Budenski.

Budenski is 71-years old with brown hair and brown eyes, officials said. He is 5'9" and 145 pounds. Despite authorities saying that Budenski has dementia, community members have said that isn't the case.

The community has been very active in its search for Budenski, holding rallies, making yard signs and organizing searches for him.
