Here's How Much Snow Fell In Northfield Friday: NWS
In much of the Twin Cities, snowfall far surpassed NWS' predictions.
NORTHFIELD, MN — While National Weather Service originally predicted that the Twin Cities would get between 6-10 inches of snow Friday, new numbers have far surpassed the predictions in many cities.
While NWS didn't have updated information for Northfield, it shows that Faribault got 10.2 inches, Farmington got nine inches and Lakeville got 19 inches.
Northfield Public Schools cancelled school ahead of the storm.

The City of Northfield declared a snow emergency from 5 p.m. Friday to noon on Sunday, according to a report by KYMN Radio.
Despite the Twin Cities being buried in snow Friday, much of the snow could easily melt later this week. NWS predicts that Wednesday will have temperatures in the 50s.
