Missing Man Found Face Down In Straight River Dies: Police
Jesse Albert Decoux, 52, was reported missing Friday evening and found in the Straight River a short time later, authorities said.
FARIBAULT, MN β A 52-year-old Faribault man who was reported missing and then found face down in the Straight River a short time later has died, authorities said Saturday night.
Jesse Albert Decoux was reported missing by his family members at about 5:05 p.m. Friday. Family members told police Decoux had left a nearby home with his two dogs at about 3:05 p.m. They called police after one of the dogs returned home without Decoux and was visibly wet, according to a news release.
Officers began searching the area of Tee Pee Tonka Park where family members located Decoux's second dog. Police say they also found evidence that showed Decoux may have fallen into the Straight River.

They found Decoux a short time later face down in the water, according to a news release from the police department.
Authorities attempted life-saving measures, and Decoux was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center. He was then airlifted to the Twin Cities and pronounced dead late Friday evening, according to the news release.

An autopsy will be performed on Decoux to determine his cause of death, police said. An investigation into his disappearance and recovery is ongoing.
