Northfield Bicyclist Seriously Injured After Collision With Car

Minnesota State Patrol said he sustained life-threatening injuries.

NORTHFIELD, MN β€” A Northfield bicyclist sustained life-threatening injuries in a collision with a car Wednesday evening, according to Minnesota State Patrol.

The 44-year-old man was biking Southbound on Highway 3, officials said. A Subaru was traveling Northbound on the highway, and the two collided after the bicyclist turned left onto 5th St. East, according to authorities.

The bicyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center, officials said. He was wearing a helmet, according to authorities.
