Northfield Girls Hockey Team To Play In State Quarterfinal

The Raiders face off against the Edina Hornets in the Class AA state quarterfinal at 11 a.m. Thursday.

NORTHFIELD, MN — The Northfield High School girls hockey team will continue its bid for a state title Thursday with a game against the Edina Hornets.

The Raiders face off against Edina in the Class AA quarterfinal at 11 a.m. Thursday.

Northfield is the Section 1AA champion and this is its third trip to the state tournament, according to Minnesota State High School League.

The Raiders average 4.3 goals per game, MSHSL said.

The team includes sophomores Ayla Puppe, with 39 goals and 30 assists, and Emerson Garlie, with 26 goals and 20 assists, MSHSL said.
