Northfield PD Begins Mental Health Program For Officers: Report
Officers will meet with a mental health professional to learn how to deal with the stress of the job.
NORTHFIELD, MN β Northfield Police Department recently began a new mental health program for its police officers, according to a report by KYMN Radio.
The program consists of mental health workers conducting meetings with the department's police officers to check on their mental health, the radio station reported.
The meetings are to give the officers coping strategies to deal with the stress of the job, according to the report.

So far, about one third of the city's officers have had their meetings, but all will soon go through the process, the report said.
