Northfield Under 'Severe Thunderstorm Warning': NWS

NORTHFIELD, MN — The city of Northfield and surrounding areas are under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning, according to National Weather Service.

The warning is in effect until 2:45 p.m., NWS said.

Residents should be prepared for ping-pong ball-sized hail and wind gusts up to 60 mph, according to NWS.

Other areas affected include Red Wing and Cannon Falls, NWS said.
