• SMIF awards $99,865 in economic-development grants (southernminn.com) — A Northfield-based nonprofit, Sharing Our Roots, has been awarded a $20,000 economic-development grant from the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation to boost market access for small, immigrant, and underserved farmers across southern Minnesota. The funding will support buyer outreach, vendor onboarding, and fulfillment using shared infrastructure, tying regional farm prosperity directly back to work happening in Northfield.
