• Council looks for safety solutions near Greenvale Elementary and Spring Creek Woodley intersection (kymnradio.net) — Northfield drivers, walkers, and cyclists could soon see major safety upgrades near Greenvale Elementary and at the Spring Creek Road–Woodley Street intersection. The City Council backed a grant application for a $3.6 million Lincoln Parkway project using state and MnDOT funds, and advanced plans for new crosswalks, signals, and other protections on Spring Creek Road. Both efforts aim to boost safety without raising local taxes.
   

• Library Services for people who are hard of hearing (kymnradio.net) — New accessibility upgrades at the Northfield Public Library will soon make it much easier for deaf and hard-of-hearing patrons to use services and attend programs. AI-powered captioning tablets and new hearing loop systems are being installed at service desks and in the Bundy Room, with staff training and strong privacy protections built in. These changes aim to lower communication barriers for many Northfield residents.
   

• Raiders extend win streak to 10 games with victory over Austin (southernminn.com) — Northfield High School’s boys basketball team has stretched its win streak to 10 games, improving to 10-1 after a home victory over Austin. Led by Kayden Oakland’s double-double, the Raiders now look ahead to road and home matchups against Rochester John Marshall and Albert Lea as they continue a strong season.
