Running For Office In Northfield? File For Candidacy By May 31

NORTHFIELD, MN — If you're interested in running for office during the 2022 elections in Northfield, file an affidavit for candidacy by May 31.
City offices on the ballot include Council Member At-Large, Council Member First Ward, and Council Member Fourth Ward, which are all four-year terms, the city said.
Candidates must also complete a public disclosure form, according to the city's website. The 2022 Candidate Filing Packet and the $5 filing fee can be brought to the City Clerk's office, the city said.

- Be 21 or older by the time you'd assume office
- Be qualified to vote
- Be a resident of the city/ward you will represent at least 30 days before the election
- Have no other affidavits for other elected offices on file
