St. Olaf And Carleton Make $160K Donation To Northfield

The donation was split between the two colleges.

NORTHFIELD, MN — St. Olaf and Carleton Colleges recently made their annual donations to the City of Northfield, St. Olaf posted on its website.

This year's donation was $160,000, split between the two colleges, St. Olaf said.

According to St. Olaf College, the annual donations are a tradition that dates back to the 1920s. Additionally, students at both colleges support Northfield businesses and volunteer with local organizations, St. Olaf said.

Both schools also offer many free activities for Northfield residents and are two of the biggest employers in the city, employing over 1,500 people combined, according to St. Olaf.
