UPDATED: Two-Vehicle Wreck on Highway 3 Injures Three
Northfield Police Sgt. Scott Johnson said the severity of the injuries were unknown, but as of 9 p.m., he said a helicopter hadn't been called to Northfield Hospital, where those injured in the wreck were transferred.

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle wreck shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Highway 3 South and Woodley Street.
 Sgt. Scott Johnson said the severity of the injuries were unknown, but as of 9 p.m., he said a helicopter hadn't been called to , where those injured in the wreck were transferred. Those injured were the driver and a passenger in one vehicle and the driver of the second vehicle.

No other details were immediately available. It's unknown if the occupants of vehicle were wearing their seat belts or if alcohol factored into the wreck. Johnson said the wreck remains under investigation.
An SUV involved in the wreck was the only vehicle still at the scene around 9 p.m. The front end of the SUV was up against a tree on the sidewalk near .

Both lanes of Highway 3 were closed for about an hour as Northfield Fire & Rescue, Northfield EMS and officers worked the scene.
