What Are Your Trick-or-Treating Etiquette Tips?

Northfield Patch asked its Facebook followers what a some good rules of thumb were for Halloween night. See what they had to say below and add your own thoughts in the comments section below.

With Halloween night fast approaching, Northfield Patch asked its readers via Facebook what they thought were good rules to abide by while trick-or-treating Thursday night. See what they had to say below:

Kathy: From 6 until 8 or so. or wherever its more older kids than little ones. ... No matter what time it is, if the light isn't on they don't hand out treats.

Christine: The porch light is a big rule for us! Especially when the little one goes to bed.

Jill: Kids are welcome to come to our house as early as they like, especially the young ones but we like to have lights out by 8pm. We have had the door bell ring as late as 9.
