"We decided to open a store because there's really not a store that specializes in airsoft in the area," Mayer said. "We already have the products so we decided we might as well make a retail outlet out of it."
Mayer has considered opening a store for some time, but decided to seriously pursue the idea six months ago after talking with another airsoft dealer.
"He inspired me to think about opening a store more seriously and we had the space for it," Mayer said.
Airsoft Station offers guns and equipment for both entry-level players and more experienced players. The business will not sell any airsoft guns to anyone under 18 years old.
Airsoft Station will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, Sept. 8 from noon to 5 p.m.
Airsoft Station's hours:
- Mon-Fri: 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Saturdays: 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Sundays: Closed
