Warrant Issued for Man Who Allegedly Attacked Couple at Grocery Store

A warrant was issued for Charles NMN Tongkhuya, of Oakdale after he failed to appear at his last court hearing.

On May 1 police responded to an assault report. A Lake Elmo couple reported that Tongkhuya had yelled at them and kicked their car, in addition to kicking the woman to the ground and kicking the man in the arm.

When police arrived Tongkhuya allegedly said to officers, “You looking for a fight? I know karate."

In May, the prosecuting attorney told Oakdale Patch that they were pursuing criminal damage to property charges since the assaults were misdemeanors and the damage to property was a felony-level.

Tongkhuya faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison and $10,000 in fines. His initial appearance in court was scheduled for June 14.
