911 Contract, Kids Concert, and a Lost Dog: 3 Things to Know Today

Three pieces of information to fuel your day in Richfield.

1) Lost German Shepherd

Over the weekend, two users posted alerts about a German Shepherd lost near Hwy 62 and France Ave on Sunday night. According to "Richfield Citizen" and "Angela Dimler," the dog answers to Dakota and comes running at the sound of a jingling chain. The dog's owner reportedly died of a heart attack while driving, and the dog escaped while rescuers were trying to resuscitate its owner. If you spot the dog, please call animal control officers at 612-861-9800.

2) New 911 Software

Tuesday evening, the city council is scheduled to debate the future of the city's 911 dispatch service. Faced with an aging system, the city either needs to outsource dispatching to another local government or spend thousands for an upgrade.

3) Tricia and the Toonies

Looking for something to do with your toddler on Tuesday afternoon? Head on over to Augsburg Park at noon to hear this week's Kids Concert in the Park, featuring Tricia and the Toonies.
