Frat Hazing Leaves MN Teen Blind, Unable To Walk Or Talk: Police
Charges were filed after a 19-year-old from Eden Prairie was left disabled during a fraternity pledge night.
EDEN PRAIRIE, MN — Charges were filed Friday after a Minnesota teen was left blind and unable to walk or talk due to a fraternity hazing incident at the University of Missouri, investigators said.
Daniel Santulli, 19, of Eden Prairie was hospitalized after drinking a liter of vodka, according to police. The incident happened during a pledge night in October.
On Friday, a grand jury in Missouri indicted former Phi Gamma Delta fraternity members Ryan Delanty and Thomas Shultz on charges of life endangerment and supplying liquor to a minor or intoxicated person, according to the Columbia Missourian.

Alec Wetzler — another fraternity member — was also charged on June 2 with supplying alcohol to a minor and possession of alcohol by a minor.
Surveillance video obtained by ABC News showed Santulli moments before he went into cardiac arrest due to alcohol poisoning. His blood alcohol was 0.486, police said.

Santulli’s family settled with more than a dozen defendants in a civil lawsuit in May.
