Here's How Much Rain Fell In Richfield Tuesday
Even after Tuesday's rain, Richfield will need more to come out of the drought. And the good news? It will get some, the forecast says.

RICHFIELD, MN — The Twin Cities saw its biggest rainstorm of the year Tuesday, providing some much-needed relief amid the ongoing extreme drought.
About 1.39 inches of rain fell at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport, a record for 2021.
Parts of Richfield saw .5 inches of rain, according to the National Weather Service.

Even after Tuesday's rain, Richfield will need more to come out of the drought. And the good news? It will get some, according to the current forecast.
"Confidence is increasing there will be widespread heavy rain Thursday afternoon into Friday," the NWS said.

"Multiple rounds of thunderstorms will likely bring 3 to 5 inches across central MN into WI. Locally higher totals in excess of 6 inches are possible."
