Ideas for Planning a Sober Ride New Year's Eve
Hennepin County Rich Stanek reminds citizens to plan a sober ride as the holiday season winds down.
While the holiday season is winding down, most of the partying is just getting started with the new year around the corner.
In an email newsletter, Hennepin County Sheriff Rich Stanek asks citizens to choose a sober way to get home from holiday and New Year's Eve parties:
Plan accordingly to make sure 2014 begins with a safe ride home and not a DWI. In 2012, 104 people were killed in Minnesota in drunk driving related crashes.
There are many services available in Hennepin County to help residents arrive safely at their final destination; some are even free!
