Local and regional detours

In lieu of the ramp connecting southbound I-35W to westbound I-494, motorists can use westbound Highway 62 to southbound Highway 100 and then to westbound I-494 as a regional detour.

Another option is using the cloverleaf ramps from southbound I-35W to eastbound I-494 to northbound I-35W to westbound I-494 as a local detour.

"Motorists are urged to plan ahead and allow extra time to reach their destination," MnDOT said in a news release.

"All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather and schedule permitting and subject to change. MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, and slow down in work zones where workers are present."
