More Snow Headed For Richfield: When, How Much

Here's what we know about the next round of snow headed for the Twin Cities metro area this week.

RICHFIELD, MN — Another round of snow is set to hit Richfield on Tuesday and last into Wednesday. Between 2 and 3 inches of snow is likely to fall by Wednesday morning.

The arctic cold will arrive again on Thursday when the low is predicted to hit 16 degrees below zero.

Tuesday: A chance of flurries between noon and 3pm, then a slight chance of snow after 3pm. Patchy fog between 7am and 9am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 31. South southeast wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tuesday Night: Snow. Patchy blowing snow after 5am. Low around 8. Blustery, with a south wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest 15 to 20 mph in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Wednesday: Snow likely before noon, then flurries likely after noon. Patchy blowing snow before 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a temperature falling to around 8 by 5pm. Blustery, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Thursday: Partly sunny and cold, with a high near 0. Northwest wind around 10 mph.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around -16. West northwest wind around 5 mph.
