Northbound Highway 77 Will Close This Weekend In Bloomington

The closures are part of a resurfacing pavement project taking place along Highway 77/Cedar Avenue between Bloomington and Minneapolis.

BLOOMINGTON, MN — Northbound Highway 77 between the Minnesota River and Interstate 494 in Bloomington will close at 8 p.m. on Friday.

These closures are part of a resurfacing pavement project taking place along Highway 77/Cedar Avenue between Bloomington and Minneapolis through November 2022.

The following ramps will also close at 8 p.m. Friday:

  • Eastbound I-494 to northbound Highway 77
  • E. Old Shakopee Road to northbound Highway 77
  • Cliff Road to northbound Hwy 77
  • Diffley Road to northbound Hwy 77
  • Hwy 13 to northbound Hwy 77

All northbound Highway 77 lanes and ramps are set to reopen by 5 a.m. on Monday. Southbound Highway 77 and its ramps in that area will remain open through the weekend.

More closures Sunday

From 10 p.m. Sunday through 9 a.m. on May 27, several ramps south of Interstate 494 in Bloomington will be closed to traffic for pavement resurfacing, guardrail replacement, and other improvements:

  • Northbound Hwy 77 to Killebrew Dr.
  • Northbound Hwy 77 to Lindau Ln.
  • Northbound Hwy 77 to eastbound I-494
  • Killebrew Drive and Lindau Lane to northbound Hwy 77
  • Killebrew Drive and Lindau Lane to westbound I-494
  • Killebrew Drive and Lindau Lane to eastbound I-494

Similar closures are planned for southbound Highway 77 between I-494 and the Minnesota River during the weekends of June 3-6 and June 10-13.
