Parents Can Still Take Advantage of Free Lunch, Playground Programs
There's still time for your child to participate in free food and playground programs at local parks.

Following the Fourth of July holiday week, Richfield's free Summer Food and Playground programs for children will continue through much of July.
Haven't registered your child yet? No worries. You can sign up at any of the locations the first time you bring your child. Below is all the information you need:
Playground Program
Who: All children ages 6-12 are welcome.
When: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Where:
- Madison Park (6244 Knox Ave. S.) until July 18. The program is closed July 3 and July 4.
- Christian Park (6900 Bloomington Ave. S.) until July 18. The program is closed July 3 and July 4.
- Augsburg Park (7145 Wentworth Ave. S.) until July 24. The program is closed July 3-5.
Summer Food Program
The summer food program is sponsored by Richfield Public Schools, Richfield Recreation, Minnesota Department of Education and the USDA Summer Food Service Program. Breakfast and lunch options are available.
Breakfast
When: 9-9:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday.
Where:
- Augsburg Park (until July 24);
- Madison Park (until July 18);
- Christian Park (until July 18).
When: Noon to 1 p.m.; days dependent on location.
Where:
- Richfield Community Center (7000 Nicollet Ave. S.): Monday through Thursday until July 24.
- Madison Park: Monday through Wednesday until July 18.
- Christian Park: Monday through Wednesday until July 18.
Other Activities
July 3: Como Zoo;
July 12: Mill City, Stone Arch Bridge;
July 19: Grand Slam.
