RICHFIELD, MN — A snow system that is set to hit Minnesota Friday has shifted northward, and Minnetonka is now right in its path. A winter weather warning was issued for all of Hennepin County.

Between 4 to 8 inches of snow is set to fall in Richfield on Friday, according to the localized forecast provided by the National Weather Service.

The snow will arrive in the city after 9 a.m., making for slick roads and reduced visibility. Be sure to slow down and allow for extra time to reach your destination.

Thursday Night: Increasing clouds, with a low around 23. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable after midnight.

Friday: Snow, mainly after 9am. High near 30. Light and variable wind becoming north northeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Friday Night: Snow, mainly before midnight. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 21. North northeast wind around 10 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
