Memory Care Seniors Share Christmas Joy with Folks Across the Country

Cascade Creek memory care residents joined the viral challenge to send Christmas cards to people needing cheer.

Residents at a Rochester memory care community showed their love for people who need cheering up this Holiday season. The seniors at Cascade Creek, an Anthem Memory Care community took part in the Angel Card Project and sent cards to 17 states. The project is an internet wide charity that encourages groups to send greeting cards to those in need.

“Even though our seniors have a dementia diagnosis. they still enjoy volunteering to raise the spirits of others,” said, Shelby Baclesse, life engagement director for Cascade Creek. “The card making gave our seniors a chance to reminisce about their past and created a meaningful way to connect with people in need.”

Cascade Creek is located at 3530 Fairway Ridge Lane SW, Rochester.
