  1. Nearby in Waterloo, a Mason City delivery driver was arrested as he allegedly cashed a lottery ticket that was stolen from a convenience store back in March. Jamie Ray Wilson was arrested this past Friday on a charge of lottery theft and has since been released from jail pending trial. According to records, a pack of lottery tickets was left in a cooler in a Kwik Star; the manager later discovered that a few tickets were missing from the pack. Investigators used the serial numbers of the tickets that were missing and noticed one was cashed at a different Kwik Star; once the security footage was pulled, the man on camera matched the description of Wilson. 2. The combination of the Tri Clear Lake triathlon and the North Iowa Band Festival is expected to bring attention and tourism to the greater North Iowa region. According to the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce, the two events are complementary in that they bring in both sports fans and music aficionados alike. In addition to these two events, the Chamber is adding a Youth Splash and Dash Race, hoping to add more families and children into the fun. (KIMT 3)
  3. As multiple businesses in Rochester struggle to keep their doors open, a few new ones are popping onto the scene, including a new upscale restaurant. The news was shared last November that the Townsquare Media building downtown was looking to open a new restaurant on Broadway Avenue. It has since been confirmed that Marrow is open for business, serving "seasonal, ingredient-driven" recipes cooked with a classical French technique. (kdhlradio.com)
