Seniors with Dementia Fundraise for Pups
Residents at Cascade Place, an Anthem Memory Care community in Rochester made "adopt a puppy" kits to raise funds for Paw and Claws.

Residents at a Rochester memory care community recently showed their love for pets with an “adopt a puppy” fundraiser. The seniors at Cascade Creek, an Anthem Memory Care community raised over $200 to benefit Paws and Claws Humane Society. The residents picked out stuffed puppies, put together paper crates and made collars and fleece blankets. Each new owner received the plush puppy kit complete with an adoption certificate.
“Many of our seniors are lifelong animal lovers,” said Tiffany Bell, life engagement director for Cascade Creek. “This was a wonderful way for them to reminisce about their animal babies while helping the local humane society. They were so excited to drop off their donation at Paws and Claws and meet new furry friends.”
Cascade Creek is located at 3530 Fairway Ridge Lane SW, Rochester.
