City: Do's and Don't for Storm Debris Cleanup
As of 3 p.m. today, more than 1,000 Roseville-area residents still without electric service.

As Roseville public maintenance workers continue working extra hours to pick up trees and brush in front of residents' homes from last week's severe storms, the city on Tuesday offered several suggestions to citizens on how they can help with the clean-up effort.
 Â
Roseville's advice comes as about 1,600 customers in the Roseville zipcode area remained without electric service, according Xcel Energy's outage map report as about 3 p.m. Tuesday.Â
The city noted:
- "Only trees and brush are being picked up. Any other debris, including lumber, will be left at the curb. Please be careful that the debris remains at the curb and does not get in the street. There is no size limit to the trees.Â
- Homeowners are responsible to get trees to the curb. City staff will not go onto private property to collect any tree or brush that is not at the curb.Â
- Make sure that if your property abuts a pathway, please place the trees or brush so that it does not get into the street and also doesn't block the pathway.Â
If you are have a contractor help cut down a tree or trim branches, we encourage you to have the contractor haul the trees away; this will help lessen city costs.
The City said plans to make a final sweep through neighborhoods beginning July 8.  That's when you'll need to have any tree or brush debris in front of your house. After July 8, residents will be responsible for their own tree and brush disposal.Â

Hi Carolyn,Â
Do you know where is the worst damage? Â And does the city (public works) have any estimate of how many hours of over time or dollars are being spent to clean up the storm damage?
