First Clue Out for Rosefest Medallion Hunt

Monday (June 24) is last day to register Rosefest buttons for the treasure hunt.

The first clue for the Rosefest medallion treasure hunt was released Sunday evening before the Teddy Bear concert at Central Park.
Here it is: 

Once again, it is time during Rosefest,
To begin the search, a special little quest.
No GPS will be needed to find the prize,
A medallion will be found if you are wise.
In a City Park this medallion can be found,
You may have to begin searching around.
It won’t be at Oasis, Villa, Acorn, or Pioneer,
The Golf Course, Arboretum, and Nature Center are clear

The person who finds the medallion for Roseville's summer  treasure hunt will win a basket full of gift certificates valued at $500 to $1,000. 

"Additional clues will be released each day at 10 a.m. at sponsor locations and at 11 a.m. at City of Roseville facilities and online at www.cityofroseville.com/parks until the medallion is found.," the city said.

Here's further info from the city:

 "The finder of the medallion will win a basket of gift certificates worth $500. If the finder registers their button before 4:30 p.m. on Monday, June 24, the value of the gift basket doubles." The treasure basket includes two Timberwolves tickets, a $25 J.C. Penney gift certificate and two $50 gift packages from Rosedale Center.

 Rosefest buttons cost $3.00 and are available at City offices, Fairview Community Center and the Roseville Visitors Association."

Where to Look For the Medallion?

City officials said the  medallion will be on public property in Roseville. But they stressed the treasure WILL NOT be at Cedarholm Golf Course, Muriel Sahlin Arboretum, Harriet Alexander Nature Center or the Skating Center.
