Roseville Council to Hold Discussions Tonight About Twin Lakes Area Redevelopment


The Roseville Council is scheduled to meet tonight (Monday) with several property owners in the city's Twin Lakes area to discuss redevelopment of  the area. 

City officials have expressed hope that the other redevelopment will occur now that Wal-Mart has begun preparations to build one of its discount superstores at the northeast corner of County Road C and Cleveland Avenue, which is the southerly end of the Twin Lakes area. 

Meanwhile, the Council, at its Monday meeting, is also expected to fill vacancies on the Planning, Human Rights and Police Civil Service commissions. The Council meeting is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 2660 Civic Center Drive. 

In the week ahead, here are a few other things that are happening in Rosevile:

Tuesday
The Public Works, Environmental & Transportation Commission is scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall. Agenda items include a discussion of the County Road B-2/ Victoria Street sidewalk project.

The Roseville Farmers Market is held every Tuesday (through late October) from 8 a.m. to noon at  the Church of the Corpus Christi, 2131 Fairview Ave. N. 

Wednesday

The Minnesota Abstract & Title Company will hold a  free seminar on "Short Sale vs. Foreclosure."  It will take place at 6 p.m. at 1000 Dale Street N., St. Paul.

Free Outdoor Summer Concerts 

Roseville Parks and Recreation is offering two free outdoor summer concerts this week at the Frank Rog Amphitheatre at Central Park-Lexington East, 2540 Lexington Ave. N. 
The Roseville Community Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday while a teen "Battle of The Bands"  starts at 6 p.m. on Thursday.  Click on the highlighted link to see the full summer schedule.
