Corey Yunke, the Roseville Police Department's community relations coordinator, said the shots fired calls were not likely related to gunfire:

All three incidents (most likely the same noise) were investigated by officers and "cleared" without anything worthy to report.  Without suspects/victims, a specified location, or other direct evidence,  shots fired are often unfounded.  Sometimes fireworks (m-80's, black cats in coffee cans) or echoes from neighboring hunting grounds can be the noise heard.
